Anxiety and evolution are inseparable.

In fact I said that anxiety is something we experience – not ‘have’ – an important distinction…
Anxiety is actually an integral part of being human – and in particular, being a woman.
We are hard-wired to be protective and “on edge” if you will. It’s what helps us survive in an uncertain world.
We’re also now living in a very different complex modern world where the threats around us come hard and fast…
In the form of deadlines, emails, expectations, social media pressures and possibly the worst…
our own high standards of ourselves!!
So we not only believe we should have a handle on everything at all times, but our brains are constantly flicking on our “fight or flight” switch and keeping us on high alert.
It is completely natural to feel worried and to over-analyse things – this is an extension of our basic survival instincts.
However… it isn’t necessary to stay stuck in that anxious, wound up, tense, ready to crumble at the drop of a hat… way of being.
The thing that allows us to finally chill is certainty. It’s the taking away of the pressure.
So in a world full of pressure (and now throw in the challenges of coronavirus and isolation) – how on earth do we feel more secure?

The truth is that until you disconnect from all the sh*t on the outside that tells you who you should be, what you need to eat and how you should run your life, you will forever stay in the same trap that I was in.
An existence of people-pleasing, validation-seeking, constant uncertainty and a “work harder, do more” attitude that will only burn you out, time and time again.
Girl, it’s time to get to know yourself better. To figure out who you are and what you really want.
To discover what you really don’t want and set boundaries and standards for your life that set you up to live the way YOU want to.
To start to shift your beliefs about health and success and take control of your destiny so that this current pandemic madness doesn’t get the better of you.
So that you can come out the other side of this with more certainty than ever.
