You know you’re supposed to put your self first right – but doing it is hard! These are the practical tips and strategies that I know work.

#1 Commit to a 30 second pause before you respond yes or no.

Rather than trying to stop yourself from saying no, when your INSTINCTS tell you its “better” to just say yes and be agreeable, commit to WAITING!

Even if you feel embarrassed and say Yes, that should be fiii…. NO WAIT! (*counts to 30…..)!!

#2 Ask yourself, will this matter in 5 years time?

Oh I love this tip so much and use it all the time when I feel myself getting flustered about getting sh*t done.

Use it to help you make decisions about what’s really more important.

#3 Future pace… will I feel GOOD or DRAINED after this?

This is going to force you to consider the energetic consequences of your decision, and if your answer is ‘drained’, that in itself will add more evidence in support of your decision to say NO.

#4 Every day make a point to think – how can I do less and be more?

This one question creates a whole different mindset – but in itself requires you to shift your mindset to CONSTANTLY consider your own needs and energetic capacity,

#5 Think of your self care as the epicentre of your positive impact.

You must develop and strengthen the belief that when you look after yourself… EVERYONE BENEFITS!
