Hi. My name is Kelly and I can whole-heartedly say that I am content with my body and in control of my health. Big statement huh?

My big goal with The Green Body Plan is to

help busy, smart women (just like you) actually feel connected to their bodies and in control of their health

No it’s not your fault you’re overweight, anxious, depressed and sick all. of. the. time.

I want to fight anxiety and depression, I want to make weight loss easy and I want women to be more than their health struggles. Because women are the most important influencers in our families and therefore in our communities. And if we can change, if we can truly get healthy, then we can heal and influence EVERYONE around us for the better.

Are you with me?!

I hope so! I offer loads of free stuff like my 3 day detox guide, 5-day challenge, recipes, articles, webinars and live trainings inside the free Facebook group. I also offer my 28 day program and signature 10 week transformation program THRIVE.

In short, I am

  • fed up of seeing women shy away from life because of their weight or health issues
  • angry that we’ve been fed the wrong information about diet and exercise
  • passionate about helping other women make the same transformation I did
  • excited that this change is possible for so many women!

It took me 10 years to break free of the life I was in and actually create the life that I wanted. For the first 5 years I was at university. I would sit studying for exams drinking from a 2L bottle of Coca-Cola and swallowing family blocks of chocolate without batting an eyelid.

I then spent 5 years in a career that I didn’t enjoy.  I would work 10-16 hour days as a veterinarian, 5-7 days per week (plus after hours).

I was exposed to chemicals, x-rays, drugs and anaesthetic gases. I would spend entire days in a building with almost no natural light, freezing cold air-conditioning, a massive workload, no lunch break and a team of (mostly) women who were constantly sick and for the large part unhappy.

Whilst I was heaviest at university I have never been very overweight, yet I look back at photos and see… well, a bloated, messier version of myself. Someone who was struggling with anxiety and not taking care of herself. Working as a vet I was constantly stressed out and suffered from colds regularly. I felt out of control of my body, had chronic lower back pain and my anxiety spiralled into bouts of depression.

My big transformation began when I was actually trying to fight an infection and tried out the candida diet. I started to learn about sugar. I started practicing Iyengar yoga. I started training again at the gym. I began to throw out sources of chemicals like face creams, perfumes, cleaning products.

I started to re-connect with my natural body.

And like I said at the beginning – I can honestly, whole-heartedly say that I am content with my body and in control of my health. And I want you to be too.

Kelly
